The Beach at Leven, 27th December

The Christmas weather has been pretty wild. Strong winds and squally rain.  So we all stay inside, open presents, eat good food and play. There was a lull in the winds for a day (it’s been far worse since) so we went for a stroll along the seafront at Leven. The boys had got scooters from Father Christmas and I half remembered there being a good skate park there. There was questioning about ‘dad’s memory’ as we drove into the town, but I came good, so the boys stayed to cruise around the park while we went walking the dog.

The Fife coastline can be mixed. The views out to sea in places like Leven and Kirkcaldy are better than the views behind, but I guess that’s true of a lot of places, although Kirkcaldy esplanade is a town planning disaster.
