A stormy sea and the effects of the spring tide together make for a battered coastline. You can sense the tides rising higher every few years when storms hit around the time of the equinox: increasing erosion and debris being thrown further inland.

At last, a post! I finally got around to working a very meagre selection of pictures taken over the past few months. I think I was given the impetus last night after watching the documentary film In No Great Hurry, about one of my favourite photographers – Saul Leiter.

Stormy Monday sounds better than Sunday. The seas continue to hit the shorelines, such as here at West Wemyss on the Fife coast.

Wild waters on the Firth of Forth this afternoon. The winds have been blowing every which way for weeks now and it’s stirring the sea up.
